Wow this journey has been fun, and we have barely started! It all started with a few candles in our kitchen at home.  Chuck thought that mountain candles would be such a beautiful accent to living rooms. And they were. But they were so beautiful nobody would think to burn them, and nobody would buy a candle that they couldn't burn... So it was back to the drawing board as they say... Mountain lamps were born! Our goal is to create lamps that are entirely recyclable at end of life. Right now, the bases and electronics are easily recyclable. The final hurdle is the mountain. Our aim is to use different manufacturing processes that support recyclable materials but need to grow our sales for the manufacturing to be economically feasible. Our aim is to use 100% readily recyclable materials by the end of this year. We will let you know when we achieve it!

Chuck worked tirelessly for 2 years to develop the entire mountain lamp concept from scratch. This was in addition to his dayjob as a mechatronics systems engineer. It took many, many.... many versions of the "mountain lamp shade", dozens of PCB variants, several different LED colour temperatures, and a whole lot of patience from his wife Jory to see it through. The three bedroom house turned into a one bedroom house with an office (which doubled as a CNC machine shop and an electronics assembly line) and a 3D printing room. Even the inlaws paid the price when they came to visit and slept in the living room.

The dream doesn't end with mountain lamps! We intend to grow the business into our other love - undersea adventures. We hope to share the beauty of undersea formations with you in the near future, and expand our range of products to anything that you might want to shape like a mountain or a piece of coral. Keep checking back as we create new functional art!

Most importantly, even though we're busy, we always find time to ski or bike and live our best life.
